Fira (also called Thira) is the capital and touristic center of Santorini Island, Greece. Fira is located high on the edge of the astounding Volcano Caldera rim. Well over 850 meters of long stairs lead up the crater wall. In total there are approximately 587 steps from the old port of Skala Thira to Fira town.
